- Summary of Participant Evaluations
Ver. 04/30/05. Participants at Town Hall 1 returned 129 evaluation forms. The satisfaction rate is consistently near 90%; the dissatisfaction rate never exceeds 3% and the excellence rate ranges from 36% to 54%, a truly outstanding result! This analysis includes a quantitative summary of the results and all verbatim comments received.

- Lake Havasu City Strategic Plan 2003-2008, Executive Summary.
Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was developed by MCO, developer of Fountain Hills, but has a much larger population, and a much larger potential population. Strategic plan summary does not describe the process in much detail, but does not show public input. This report was apparently prepared by a consutant.
- 2005-2006 Town of Payson Corporate Strategic Plan
Payson, Arizona is a neighbor of Fountain Hills. This brochure is a companion to a 12-page action plan in a matrix format that provides details of each of 12 Key Result Areas. It's really more of a tactical plan than a strategic plan. Note in "Overview of the Planning Process" that it was developed by Council and staff through a series of facilitated meetings; public input was not solicited.
- City of Henderson, Nevada, 2005-2009 Strategic Plan
Henderson, Nevada, a town of 225,000 people, underwent a strategic planning process: "Development of this Strategic Plan began with each City department identifying the most important issues facing their operation over the next three to five years. Each department developed goals to address their issues and identified which of those issues were the most strategically important to the City. Senior management then prioritized the statements by citywide importance. The issue statements that were designated as having top citywide importance were then grouped by topic to create a foundation for the development of the City's priorities. The community’s input was obtained through the City of Henderson Citizen Assessment Survey. This data allowed City staff to validate issues..."
